Nearly a decade ago, before Food Trucks were literally everywhere, (and in the case of Australia, five years too late) Raph Rashid launched one of Australia’s very first, Beatbox Kitchen. Beatbox has since expanded to a whole fleet of vehicles and Raph has gone on to open a slew of successful businesses across various cuisines — including a very tasty donut shop and a brick-and-mortar restaurant. Alongside full-blown culinary domination, Raph also finds time to be a published Author and Photographer with work in the collection of the Smithsonian, as well as a father of two and partner to one of our nearest and dearest Jacky Winter artists, Beci Orpin.
As someone with a seemingly never-ending appetite for new creative projects, we really wanted to sit down with Raph to talk about the systems, methods, and tools he uses to dish up so much great work, and learn the secret ingredients of his success, with just a dash of great punnery.
